I don't know about you, but when a new season comes around, the first thing I look for are shoes. When I was growing up, my dad always told me that you can tell a lot about someone just by looking at their footwear, so my shoes had to be nice, clean and fashionable. He didn't actually say they had to be fashionable, but that's just another rule that I added as I got more and more involved in the fashion industry. 

Whilst having a little browse online today, I came across some sexy little shoes from Prada and felt that I just had to share them with you. Although I won't be buying these exact ones (much to my regret), I will certainly be on the lookout for similar pairs!

1. First up we had the nude patent pump which comes in at a cool £395. In terms of luxury designer footwear, that little price tag is relatively decent! I love a nude shoe for every season, because it'll go with practically everything: from jeans and a loose tee, to a slinky LBD.

2. Second is the suede open-toe heel which retails at £525. I love the rich purple colour and the way it comes up a little higher on the foot to resemble a dropped ankle boot.

3. Next up is the nude suede Mary Jane pump at £500. This shoe is probably my favourite as the colour will go with the majority of my outfit choices and has a laid back look to it as well.

4. Lastly we have the Mardore patent leather round toe pump at £430. I love the dark cherry colour in the shoe and how it has that petrol shine to it. These would look amazing with a pair of black skinny jeans and crisp white blouse.

A Quick Look At Men’s Summer Fashion in 2012

When it comes to re-stocking our wardrobes for the summer, it is all about getting that casual look right. Long days on the beach or in the city parks call for versatile and loose clothing. This summer sees subtle updates to years gone by, with many trends taking a unique look at already timelessly classic designs.

There is already ample guidance out there for women’s trends this summer, but it can be a little harder for men to fix their stylish look for the warmer months. Here, we take a look at the trends for men that are already rearing their heads this spring.

Sportswear

For some time, men’s fashion has revolved around the formal. Whether this summer’s fashion is adapting to the realistic needs for most men come the summer, or responding to the Olympic Games in London, it looks ready to take sportswear more seriously than ever.

Casual sports jackets are being given a makeover and are actually crossing over between the casual and the smart. The deep reds opted for by many well-known designers ooze an American college vibe, as do the two-tone jackets on offer now in many a high-street store.

‘Varsity’ certainly looks set to take centre stage in men’s fashion this summer, giving a modernised edge to a somewhat 50s design theme. Men can also expect to see a return of the oversized tee, best worn with carefully chosen accessories.

Footwear

Men’s footwear throughout the summer has also shifted its focus to the casual. Deck shoes are no newcomer to the fashion world, but have been given a facelift by a number of different popular shoe brands.

American design is having an influence here, too. Expect a comeback from many of the skating and surfing giants this summer – from chunky skate shoes to updated deck shoes by Vans Authentic.

As is often the case, men’s fashion has very loose borders this summer and this is particularly true when it comes to footwear. The only unwritten rule to watch out for this summer is a prohibitive stance on flip-flops in the cities. In fact, the ever-popular flip-flop looks set to decline even on the beaches of the south coast.

The Biggest Blogging Movement & Community in 2012

Blogger's, listen up: Here we have one of thee best things to ever come out of the world wide web since blogger, twitter and facebook - Blogger's Wardrobe. An online clothing store unlike any other. Why is that you ask? Well, for starters: the clothes are free. The catch? You have to be part of the community. The elite, if you will. Once you're taken under their wing and accepted as one of their own, you then have access and free reign to choose from a range of brands that they to offer. Finsk, Gudrun & Gudrun, Gestuz and Arelalizza are just some of the brands on offer that spark some keen interest from myself.

Although there are a few brands which make me feel all warm inside whenever I look at their collections, my favourite brand on offer at BW would have to be Finsk. A london based shoe brand which was launched in 2004 by Finnish born Julia Lundsten. She has been dubbed the Eames of footwear and has established herself as a designer with a strong vision and unique, directional style. It's not hard to see why she is considered so stylish when you look at the range of shoes she has on offer. Sharp and angular with chunks cut out here and there, gives the shoes a very contemporary and modern feel, with a slight 'Lady Gaga-esque' twist in my opinion. I would probably wear a pair of Finsk wedge heels with a leather biker jacket and pair of skinny jeans. Looking at some of my favourites that I have so lovingly put together for you guys in a set below, it's obvious to see why I love them, no?

I feel that Blogger's Wardrobe is one of the best things out there for both online shopping and blogging due to the unique and contemporary brands on offer. In terms of being a plus for blogger's, it's out there with an intent to make brands and blogger's linked and to give us a chance to interact with one another. This fact alone just shows how aware Blogger's Wardrobe is of the current fashion industry: Fashion blogger's alone are being ranked as highly as magazine editors when it comes to bringing the latest trends and news to readers. Look at fashion week for example, who was sitting front row next to Anna Wintour at various shows at New York, London, Milan & Paris this year? Bryanboy & SusieBubble - that's who. Times are changing and for Blogger's Wardrobe to have caught onto that fact, just shows how big they have the potential to be. Blogger's are fast becoming to new way for brands to advertise their products and I don't know about you, but if I were to be accepted into the Blogger's Wardrobe community, I would be delirious.
